Position Summary:

Position supports two fundamental areas: 1) the Fremont Factory with product development technical support from raw produce conversion to aseptic cup filling, juice manufacturing, melt base and frozen dollop production. Examples of projects in this area will include performance and quality improvements, cost reduction activities, asset intensity improvement projects, and daily troubleshooting. 2) provide support for projects and process development, involving qualifying new ingredients, developing new recipes and launching new products from the Fremont Factory and/or various co-manufacturers.

Primary Responsibilities:
Renovates and customizes products. Provides technical support to factory operations, in addition to fostering collaboration between Fremont and Ft. Smith Factories and the AG Team in Fremont. Examples include troubleshooting production line issues, modifying recipes or raw material specs and contributing CONQ reduction teams. Supports translation of consumer insights into product attributes while driving manufacturing excellence. Ensures that manufacturing feedback to design of product is provided to CTCU/CTAG after each launch. Maintains recipe and ingredient database for new and existing recipes (SAPRM) and CAT for new products.

Provides expert support during Industrialization. Leads/participates on cross functional teams to drive project initiatives to completion; provide guidance and insight from an application group perspective. Provides technical assistance for existing ingredient issues and qualifies new vendors for supply projects. Ensure deliverables and approvals are complete according to NPDI flow.
Category competency building in the supported factory. Contribute to produce conversion activities that improve product quality and/or yields. Identify and produce related opportunities to improve aseptic toting operation. Supports knowledge transfer between the AG and the R&D Divisions.

Implements standards in the factory. Supports implementation of standards with support from CTAG. Consolidates and coordinates feedback to the CTAG for Factory AG Manager regarding standard effectiveness (adherence and results).
Provides expert support to the factory team. Provides first line expert support to the factory. Leads factory cost saving initiatives related to AG and looks for potential optimization opportunities.


Requirements and Minimum Education Level:
BS in Food Science/Chemical or Food Engineering

Experience:
Product Development/Food Science, 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience
