Gerber Products Company dba Nestle Infant Nutrition is seeking a Customer Business Manager to join its Retail Sales function and support the Baby Specialty Channel.

The primary responsibilities of this position are to attain or exceed current and long-term Profitable Sales, Distribution and Merchandising goals in accordance with Nestle Infant Nutrition sales plans, programs and budgets utilizing the Integrated Commercial Planning Process. The Customer Business Manager is the primary contact to the customer for all sales related activities. This position will have direct headquarter responsibility for Babies R U and Buy Buy Baby for the Nestle Infant Nutrition portfolio.

Profitable Sales Growth:
-Achieve or exceed established sales targets for customer/SBU responsibility while staying within budget.
-Deliver on all key growth drivers by business segment to grow market share
-Develop annual business plans with customer and input into annual plans
-Achieve new item introduction goals including ACV targets; SRPs, Speed to Shelf objectives and share of shelf/Planogram objectives.
-Identify profitable opportunities to grow incremental volume and represent Baby Specialty Channel in White Space innovation segments
-Develop and execute promotional plans to achieve growth targets within budget.
-Manage Deductions and Bad Goods within company policy.

Trade Fund Management:
-Prepare customer plans to optimize trade performance against accruals.
-Manage assigned funds according to ISW polices and procedures.
-Achieve Sales Forecasting Accuracy per target and timely updates within ISW.

Business Management:
-Execute customer business reviews as required to achieve business results.
-Develop a solid business relationship with key decision makers at the customer.
-Communicate understanding of Gerber Nutrition brand strategies and tactics with the Baby Specialty customers.
-Ability to understand and articulate operational insights of the customer to influence the Programs developed by CCSD.
-Execute specific plans to allow the attainment of assigned targets and objectives.
-Communicate competitive customer, product and market place issues and opportunities to Customer Development.
-Maintains a high level of industry, category, customer, consumer and nutritional science expertise.
-Support Company Programs and Policies, including affirmative action goals and commitments, HSE strategies and corporate citizenship initiatives.

  • BA/BS required. Preferred degree in business administration or related discipline
  • 5 years of field sales and industry related experience.
