The Trading Portfolio Consultant will manage and maintain a portfolio view of global and regional Trading projects to ensure that the strategy, governance, and roadmaps are aligned to Enterprise PDT strategies. This position is responsible for effective and comprehensive implementation and management of performance levers for the Trading Portfolio, and will combine the financial analysis (provided by the Finance team) with operational metrics, managed services SLAs, project delivery metrics, rates, and allocation methodology to create, analyze, and maintain a Trading Portfolio Performance Scorecard.
45% Portfolio and Process Leadership:
Provides guidance for portfolio management processes for the Trading Portfolio.
Facilitates portfolio review meetings and working sessions in support of the Portfolio Lead, Portfolio Solution/Instance Owners and BRMs
Facilitates application portfolio reviews of demand pipeline across global & regional application portfolios.
Facilitates collaboration across BRMs & regions to set guardrails on strategic or discretionary spend, governance minimums.
Supports Application/Solution Managers & Portfolio Architects to publish near and longer term delivery roadmap - release epics/sprints or point releases & lifecycle roadmaps.
Work collaboratively with Regional PMO, and ePMO/oCIO to ensure consistency in use of process and tools as it pertains to projects, work intake & demand management, resource planning, and financials to further drive Global and Regional Portfolio alignment.
Establish and maintain effective communication across a global portfolio management stakeholder community (including business sponsors, regional delivery teams, BRMs, EPMs, regional PMOs and EPMO/oCIO).
Understand and support decisions on portfolio issue resolution and risk mitigation.
Monitor alignment of prioritized projects against resource capacity and partner with delivery teams to assist with balancing capacity and demand.
Provides forecasted demand for project resource capacity identifying and setting up full utilization of our Cargill Business Services Center.
Responsible for the adherence to global standard process established by EPMO, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsible for assisting the Trading Portfolio lead in setting strategic direction, brand and maintaining a continuous improvement environment. This includes areas such as knowledge management, business plan development & management, team communications, rhythm of business meetings and events.
Provide oversight of portfolio health and assessment of opportunities.
Business Results, Metrics, Scorecards, and Reporting:
Responsible for the reporting health of the portfolio of global projects.
Analyze and report on critical portfolio metrics ensuring that complicated information is delivered effectively and efficiently. Develop and present moderate to complex executive communications selecting the appropriate message for the audience.
Delivers dashboard/metrics on delivery roadmap achieved, portfolio customer satisfaction, adoption/recovery, and value realization.
Leads KPI development for each Business Case and post project, works with the Sponsor and Instance/Solution Owner to ensure Benefits Realization
Analyze Trading portfolio project delivery results and direct guide appropriate action. Reviewing KPI's, process metrics and scorecards ensuring the proper measurements are in place with collaboration with the Portfolio Lead, Instance/Solution Owners, EPMO/oCIO to continuously improve.
Monitors project progress during execution to identify variances form the plan and collaborate with the Instance/Solution owners and project managers to make needed corrections for projects.
20% Portfolio Financial Management Reporting
Participates in annual business planning process.
Manages roll-up of application budget actuals to forecast overall. Facilitates action plans and investment decisions thru FY.
Rolls up application portfolio budgets and facilitates pricing and allocation recommendations/model(s) - manages recovery.
Manages monthly, quarterly and annual application portfolio prioritization process for the Trading portfolio.
Manages / leads financial investment modelling for the Trading application portfolio (priority, affordability).
Manages application specific investment funds and supports selection of investment projects.
BA/BS in Business, IT, or Computer Science
12 years of IT and business / industry work experience, with at least 3 years of experience in a distributed team.
3 years experience in managing medium to large application portfolios
5 years experience in managing IT projects.
Demonstrated leadership portfolio, demand management and project management processes.
Ability to lead teams through change
Highly proactive with identifying continuous improvement and building a culture supporting this
Expert knowledge and experience in portfolio, demand and project delivery process methodologies, other associated methodologies, techniques and tools.
Demonstrated ability to influence and build understanding of the end to end ‘system' of project delivery
Experience in financial planning and evaluation, business plan development, investment modeling, portfolio planning, SDLC.
Prior experience working with multiple on-shore and off-shore Managed Service Providers, Shared Service models and working through matrixed relationships with no direct authority.
Experience in development of ERP technology strategy and roadmaps
Experience with ITIL processes
Strong collaboration and influencing skills
Experience interacting effectively, confidentially and appropriately with various levels management and customers
Ability to work across multiple groups and geographies to solve operations problems and avoid continuity risk
Business fluency in English and local languages as defined
Ability to travel up to 15%
