Summary

The Head of Chocolate Academy is responsible for the provision of specific application and product development in response to commercial requests and participation in agreed training programs at the Academy. The incumbent has full ownership of the Chocolate Academy on technical and operational side as well as for the course program. The Head of Chocolate Academy manages and coaches his team of Chocolate Academy Chefs and Chocolate Academy Assistant Chefs. Acts as a technical expert for clients and ambassadors, internally and externally.

Accountabilities

Be responsible for the Chocolate Academy on technical & operational side and take full ownership of the course program. Ensure support to the Sales and Marketing function through the provision of effective training and demonstrations both within and outside the Academy with the aim to increase sales volumes, profitability and brand awareness. Take ownership in creating, innovating, implementing and communicating specific customer segment product development applications. Plan specific trainings within budget and quality targets provided. Provide trainings and demonstrations to the highest possible level of competence and within the objectives established by customer and commercial requests. Overview the planning of and ensure that specific Academy courses, curriculum and external trainings take place. Drive the execution of agreed training program in the Academy and externally to meet set commercial objectives. Participate in the yearly Chef Seminar, and regional and international ambassador meetings (yearly). Coordinate and provision requests for marketing and trade marketing, based on information provided by local markets to make recommendations where appropriate to central marketing on new products, ranges, tools etc. Evaluate the ongoing profitability of individual courses and amend future programs to maximize incomes. Coach, lead and provide instructions to subordinates.

Qualifications

Advanced education in bakery, pastry
6+ years experience as a chef working in pastry and chocolate internationally and domestic
Understanding of commercial and training objectives for all specific activities.
3+ years experience in people management
Strong communicator with teaching skills
English - Fluent
