Position Purpose

Cargill has recently named Digitalization and Analytic (D&A) as one of its core capabilities with the vision to become a digital leader in its respective industries. The Apollo Group was recently created to be the catalyst of this effort.

Our Digital Advisors leverage their entrepreneurial spirit and industry knowledge to support Cargill's D&A transformation. The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategies, innovative thinking, and strong leadership skills to embrace the challenges and opportunities in a digital transformation.

The purpose of this job is to:

- Stimulate Cargill to identify business opportunities and incubate potential solutions created by D&A

- Raise the understanding of D&A and the possibilities it creates

- Create visibility and awareness of D&A efforts

Principal Accountabilities


50%
Stimulate the organization to capture business opportunities and new business models enabled by new technologies (e.g. Internet of Things, e-Commerce, Mobile Solutions…)

o Scan the market (industries, start-ups, competitors) to bring insight and inspiration for potential business opportunities and new business models

o Establish and build relationships with key partners (e.g. start-up, venture capital, …)

o Collaborate with Cargill businesses and functions leaders to identify potential digital products leveraging techniques such as Design Thinking and Lean Start-up

o Define and prioritize solutions to be prototyped or incubated

o Influence and support businesses and functions to embrace new opportunities and business model

o Provide insights and recommendations for Corporate Development deals

Be a catalyst for change in the organization:

o Elevate the visibility of Cargill's D&A capabilities through external and internal communication plans

o Lead and organize D&A community events including hackathons, meet-ups, speaker's series, conferences, workshops, etc

o Engage with HR to develop an knowledge and learning plan for the organization

o Build strong relationship with Cargill businesses and functions

o Define D&A metrics and measure progress

Play a critical role in organizing and mobilizing a strong D&A community in the organization

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

· Practical experience bringing new services or products to market

· Applied experience in business development, including business plan creation

· Outstanding capability to identify and apply design-thinking methodologies to shape opportunities.

· Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to draw valid conclusions and make fact-based decisions

· Experience developing business cases

· Excellent ability to think at different levels from tactical to strategic

· 3 Experience with Agile practices

· 10 years work experience in business or consulting

· Experience learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning opportunities

· Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with all levels to meet shared objectives and to deliver customer-centric solutions

· Organizationally savvy and swiftly maneuvers comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Is resilient and adaptable in ambiguous situations

· Proven interpersonal and collaboration skills

Other Requirements

· Able to travel up to 30%

· Business fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, MIS or equivalent

· MBA

· Experience with M&A analysis, planning, and execution

· Experience owning a P&L or as a small business owner

· Experience in start-up companies with digital focus

· Experience in digital product management, such as mobile, eCommerce, marketing automation, API development, supply chain analytics or Internet of Things

· Experience in a corporate or business strategy role

Solid financial and modeling skills
