Nestlé USA (NUSA) Supply Chain operations supports all NUSA divisions as well as Nestlé Nutrition and Nestlé Professional. The scope of NUSA Supply Chain operations includes Demand & Supply Planning, Physical Logistics Management (Transportation & Warehousing), Customer Service, Inter-Market Supply, Customer Facing Supply Chain, Supplier Facing Supply Chain, as well as the DSD Network.
The Finance Manager, Supply Chain reports directly to the Supply Chain Finance Group Manager. The Finance Manager acts as co-pilot to the Supply Chain organization in terms of working with the Business Support Leads to improve Bad Goods & Waste, with relevant Operations Planning, Strategic Supply Chain & Supplier Facing Supply Chain Managers to drive improved demand & supply planning performance, achieve key targets, such as DOH inventory, Planning Accuracy, Bias, Service Level, and Productivity improvements. The Finance Manager provides finance support for the Supply Chain operations planning team from an inventory planning perspective to finished goods waste. This position will also work collaboratively with the other Supply Chain and Divisional co-pilots to create transparency in regards to Supply Chain costs throughout the various Supply Chain networks.
•With respect to the Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Business Support, work proactively to drive improved performance, identify and realize cost savings & working capital reduction projects
•Provide timely and accurate management reporting of actual performance versus plan, latest DF, as well as initiatives to improve results
•Providing thorough, well-researched explanations of variances and recommendations on risks and opportunities to the Plan and DF
•Analyzing current and past trends on key performance indicators
•Provide analysis and insights on savings initiatives and capital projects, including financial outcomes of “what if” scenarios
•Identify key drivers / levers of cost components and develop meaningful KPI's to measure improvements or cost trends over time
•Provide financial guidance and analysis on strategic initiatives, including ROI, NPV & IRR
•Improving and expanding current financial models and ad hoc analyses to support operational initiatives
•Lead the financial planning and forecasting process for Bad Goods & Waste budget of ~$120MM.
•Ensure compliance with Nestle accounting standards and costing standards for areas of responsibility.
•Maintain an appropriate control environment to mitigate risk to the business
•Manage month end close process for areas of responsibility
•Collaborate with Supply Chain finance team members in Glendale, Oakland and DeKalb campuses in various projects or initiatives that may have cross-functional applications
•Support the development of best practices for business analysis tools to ensure consistent data usage and interpretation across Supply Chain Finance
•Create management presentations for business partners that justify, validate, and measure investments for their related business purposes
•Supervise the day to day activities of 3 financial analysts to ensure accomplishment of goals of the team
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5 years of financial management experience
• Previous management experience required
• MBA or equivalent experience preferred
• Ability to manage directly as well as influence others
• Ability to work with limited / no supervision
• Position requires approx. 10%-15% travel
• Prior Supply Chain/Logistics experience preferred
• Prior cost management experience strongly preferred
