The Retail Account Representative will be interfacing with clients and prospective customers, helping them understand how Cargill Animal Nutrition can provide solutions for them and improve their profitability. Consultants typically specialize in an area of expertise, dairy, beef, swine, equine, poultry and retail sales to owners of companion animals.

Principal Accountabilities:

30% Establish and build effective customer relationships

20% Work with customers to enhance the profitability of their business.

20% Provide communication between the customer and business management team

10% Work closely with team members to solve complex customer issues

10% Develop and execute marketing strategy and plans

10% Implement promotions and advertising


Required Qualifications

  • 2 years' of sales experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and excellent communication skills

  • Good time management skills

  • Strong self-starter, good analytical and conceptual skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience working in specie management and agricultural sales

  • 1 years' experience in the industry

  • Experience in retail sales
