Position Porpuse

The FSQR Technologist II is an integral part of the plant food safety and quality systems. This position provides high level FSQR support for production operations, customer service, and sales. The Technologist II will assist FSQR management with the execution of the sites HACCP program, corporate food safety policies, as well as quality and regulatory compliance standards for the chocolate and compound product lines. The FSQR Technologist II's position encompasses: serving as a member of the site's HACCP team, support process initiatives, training of FSQR Technologist I, process auditing, instrumentation knowledge and support, SAP support, aid in the execution of CCCNA's finished product positive release process, and working with the other departments within the business to drive continuous improvement and provide support for food safety and quality issues. The FSQR Technologist II will provide the site SAP QM super user support. The FSQR Technologist II will act as the back up to the site FSQR Supervisor

Principal Accountabilities


25% Data analysis, trend identification, troubleshooting, and corrective action communication to drive continuous improvement with regard to processing data in support of operations and our customers.

20% Provide food safety and quality support through incident cause analysis and laboratory testing to production, sales, and customer service.

20% Act as back up to the FSQR Supervisors, Instrumentation Specialist and other FSQR Technologists as needed. Provide training to FSQR Technologist I's.

10% Conduct internal and external audits and provide internal audit support.

10% Manage and drive continuous improvements to CCCNA's finished product clearance process and daily laboratory operations.

5% Participation on the Food Safety and HACCP Teams

5% Site SAP QM Superset Activities

5% Other assignments as required.

Current valid driver's license

Ability to travel up to 10%

- A Bachelor's degree.

- Minimum of 1 year Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory experience

- Strong knowledge of GMP's

- Previous food safety, quality, or production experience in food manufacturing.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.

- Strong attention to detail

- Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills


- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related topic.

- Experience in SAP.

- Familiarity with HACCP and FSSC 22000

- Experience leading projects or small teams

- Bilingual/proficiency in Spanish.

- Previous experience in chocolate manufacturing.
