Job Description:

Project/Position Description:

  • Ideate, prepare and evaluate new  consumer recipes for Nestlé's Baking line of products:  Libby's® Pumpkin, Nestlé® Toll House® , Nestlé® Baking Kits and Carnation® Milks (this would include paneling of recipes to Baking Marketing Team members).   These recipes would be featured on our website ( and social platforms.

  • Manage/Assist with preparation of products and recipes for in-house tastings/presentations to Nestlé guests and outside visitors and competitor panels for Baking Division with direction of manager.  For competitor panels, this would include documentation of notes/products.   For some in-house presentations, this would include organizing. 

  • Complete test work and modification of existing recipes as needed.

  • Grocery shop for ingredients/equipment when needed.

  • Provide insight on recipe, ingredient and baking trends and present to Baking Marketing Team

  • Responsible for their own testwork and clean-up.  Test Kitchen Assistant to assist with this.  

  • Assist where necessary of the organization of the Baking Kitchen areas.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule- Hours per week

  • Approximately 24 to 32 hours

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

High School Diploma required. B.A. in Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or other related field preferred. 


Three or more years work experience in a kitchen environment (test kitchen, bakery, commercial kitchen, or other related)


Required Skills:

  • Ability to ideate, prepare, and evaluate new recipes.

  • Ability to identify trends in the baking space and translate them to consumer-facing recipes.

  • Familiarity with a wide range of baking styles from traditional baking to modern baking trends.

  • Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office.

  • Detail oriented and self-starter.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processing systems.

  • Ability to work independently and without supervision

  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral, written and listening). Must be willing to present recipes and work to groups.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time through developed organizational skills.
