Position Purpose

The Tax & Customs function employs approximately 220 professionals around the world. Approximately 90 tax professionals work at Cargill's headquarters in Wayzata, Minnesota. Other tax professionals work at such locations as Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Winnipeg, London, Amsterdam and Singapore. Cargill Tax & Customs seeks a motivated individual to become part of an engaged, high-performing team committed to contributing value. The Senior State Tax Analyst works within the Domestic Income Tax team at Cargill's headquarters in Wayzata, Minnesota to complete various state income and franchise tax compliance tasks throughout the United States.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • · Prepare/review state income & franchise tax returns, including unitary returns, quarterly estimates & supporting work papers
  • Research state tax positions and ASC 740 issues
  • Assist with state tax controversy and IDR responses
  • Assist in the preparation and review of income tax account reconciliations
  • Prepare and track state information and state attributes

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting · 2-4 years of state and/or federal tax experience · Ability to identify tax issues · Working knowledge of federal and multi-state taxation of corporations · Ability to prioritize many tasks, results-oriented, self-starter · Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills · Proven skills to be an active, contributing member of work teams

Preferred:

· Certified public accountant designation/license · Experience with US GAAP ASC740 accounting for corporate state income taxes · Proficiency with CorpTax · Proven ability to work with and manage large amounts of data
