Position Purpose:

The FSQR Technologist primary activities are to perform laboratory testing on incoming ingredients, in process materials, and finished products. The results generated are used by the Technologists as they determine material dispositions and calculate changes needed to the manufacturing process to ensure finished materials meet specifications. Further the Technologists manage and execute CCNA's finished product positive release process which includes the review of food safety, quality, and production records and the final approval for finished goods. Other tasks include nonconformance investigation, generation of return to service plans, and working with other departments within the business to provide support and guidance for quality and food safety issues.

The FSQR Technologist I is an integral part of the plant quality and food safetysystems. This position provides front line FSQR support to operations, purchasing,customer service, and sales. The Technologist assists the FSQR team in theexecution of the sites HACCP programs, corporate food safety policies, and qualityand regulatory compliance standards for the chocolate and compound product lines.Principal Accountabilities40% Perform laboratory testing and use results to inform material dispositions andcalculate changes needed to the manufacturing process in support of production,purchasing, product development, and customers.20% Execute CCCNA's finished product positive release process providing finalapproval for finished goods and assurance of compliance to customer specifications20% Provide food safety and quality support and guidance to production, purchasing, sales, and customer service.10% Analytical testing & Instrumentation tasks and support/cover for other FSQRTechnologists as needed.10% Maintain food safety, quality, and production records for legal and historicalpurposes and other assignments as required.


Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Science.• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Microsoft Office.• Must be able to walk distances around the production plant and occasionally upand down stairs.• Must be able to lift 25 - 35 lbs.• Must be able to work overtime if needed - Schedule flexibility.• Must be able to work off hours if needed.• Current valid driver's license.• Ability to travel up to 10%.Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math or related topic.• Familiarity with SAP and HACCP.• Previous food safety, quality or production experience in food manufacturing.

• Previous experience in chocolate manufacturing.
