Position Summary:


Lead the capital investment project for the powder pilot plant and coordinate contribution of all stakeholders during the key phases of the project at the Bridgewater Nestlé Product Technology Center plant (from investment project charter until agreed sustained performance is established) in order to achieve the project defined capabilities.


Excel in compliance and work with a cross-functional and multidisciplinary team with the objective to assure that the capital investment brings the expected benefits. Be the CAPEX project team leader for the powder pilot plant, meaning integrating, motivating, coaching and evaluating team members and being their support and liaison with the steering committee and all the project's stakeholders.


Together with End-to-End manager define project change management plans, determine the need for change requests.  Ensure the highest principles of ethical conduct on behalf of the community, consumer, company and the engineering profession are adhered to. Ensure communication to all stakeholders and trigger the steering committee for extraordinary meetings as needed. Ensure that the procedures for protecting Nestlé's technological and proprietary knowhow are in place and actively being implemented.


Key Responsibilities


  • Organize and lead the accomplishment of the detailed design, while mobilizing all the required internal and external resources, and based on workers safety during the construction phase, Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé standards, local regulations, defined User Requirements Specifications, TPM characteristics of a unit operation (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability) 

  • Prepare and lead the start-up team for this project, coordinate the contribution of all the stakeholders to get the project implemented in accordance to the defined criteria

  • Manage the required interactions outside Nestlé to get the resources for the project (i.e. Permits). Lead the procurement activities. Prepare start-up phase.

  • Prepare and distribute the project documentation, including project final report and feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System.

  • Assure that the investment project charter has been fulfilled.

  • Manage the allocation of all expenditures to clearly defined assets and the entry into the asset register.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • 10 years' experience in an international project environment context within which, projects were defined and budgeted, assessed and implemented (entire project lifecycle)

  • Highly developed Technical, Communication, Managerial and Leadership skills: Manage multiple simultaneous tasks, schedule and use critical path.

  • Ability to lead, coach and coordinate groups of international people (multicultural diversity), in different environments and situations while not having formal authority over all of them

    •     Exceptional Project Management and Engineering skills.

    •     Behavior Based Safety application

  • Integration of project teams; definitions of roles and responsibilities (resource management)

    •     Project planning (as per PMI definition)

 

Education:

BS/BA in an Engineering discipline i.e. (Mechanical, Process and or Chemical)

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.

  • An attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.

  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of people (who might not know each other's) with diverse backgrounds and skills (R&D, regulatory, quality, marketing, finance, etc.).

  • Ability to mobilize and motivate people, create a healthy work environment and performance based on regular feedback.

  • Project management accreditation: Technical Instructions & Guidelines Management System; Sound understanding of contracts, construction law and permitting requirements; certification.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

  • Engineering and Manufacturing: Project Engineering; Plant Design and Construction, and CAPEX cycle (budget preparation and project justification in CIAT, AMM PS); Understanding of Electricity, Control and Automation (including MES); Nestlé proprietary technology; Maintenance and Projects Management and Planning, including TPM, CDM, AMM (decision support and reporting tools), Hexaplan, MS Project; Innovation & Renovation process.

          

In addition to the above, you have to demonstrate your ability to work constructively with everyone who contributes; to be open to fresh ideas and leverage diversity of backgrounds and experiences; and to act with integrity. You also have to demonstrate your ability to focus on what matters and make choices; to deliver against clear, actionable and measurable priorities, and to work with a lean and nimble mindset. Finally, you will have to demonstrate your ability to challenge the status quo and to help us change the way people view nutritional therapies in health management, with a can-do attitude and passion.
