Responsible for managing the Health Services/ Workers Compensation Department. This includes management of the professional and ancillary staff, including creation, execution, and follow through of services available , and constant vigilance in regards to the OSHA regulated actions and information.
20%- Manages Occupational Health/Workers Compensation Department through efficient utilization of available staff, implementation of policies and procedures and supervision of department staff.
20%- Develops and documents plant specific policies and procedures to ensure compliance with mandated programs of Company, State or Federal organizations. Reviews with Assistant HSM, annual compliance programs and training in CPR, AED, First Aid, Blood borne Pathogens, Hearing Conservation, HazMat, and Avian Influenza, Cargill Drug & Alcohol Program
20%- Ensures OSHA mandated programs and record keeping are completed to comply with regulations.
10 %- Functions as a liaison between healthcare professional, employees, and other management personnel to facilitate communication.
30%- Analyzes Workers Compensation claim data and collaborates with, Corporate Workers Compensation Managers, Human Resources, Safety, Operations and Plant Management to identify opportunities and implement actions to decrease liability in the Workers Compensation arena

- 4 year college degree in related field
- Occupational Health experience and/or 2 years management experience
- Knowledge of OSHA, Workers Compensation and Industry
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills, use of Medical Tracking System, Infoview, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Preferred Bilingual - Spanish/English
- Strong Leadership/Conflict Resolution Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- RN Certification
- OHN Certification
- 3-5 Years in Occupational Health Setting
- 2 Years Management Experience
- ER/Trauma Experience
