Nestlé Professional, a leader in the foods industry has an immediate opening for a Demand Planner in our Solon Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Demand Planning for Nestlé Professional Beverages and will be the main point of contact with Marketing, Sales and Finance, in coordination of the demand plan within the Monthly Business Planning process. He/she will apply analytical techniques and leverage supply chain modeling techniques to develop tactical and operational demand forecasts.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Sales to translate and validate sales plans into demand plans as part of the Monthly Business Planning (MBP) process.

  • Maintain forecasts in SAP APO.

  • Analyze/ Review sales trends and monitor sales achievements to proactively identify issues and propose improvements in conjunction with National Account Managers and Regional Account Managers

  • Liaise with Marketing and Finance for new product launches and discontinuations and to evaluate assumptions (pre and post launch) - new product forecasts, pipeline fills

  • Maintain cleaned history in APO at the appropriate level. Generate an 18-month rolling forecast.

  • Prepare monthly Demand Planning Templates and participate in the MBP process. Coordinate input from various functional areas in a multi category environment.

  • Document, review, and evaluate qualitative and quantitative business planning assumptions and provide feedback for improvement.

  • Liaise with Country Business Manager and National Account Managers at month end to review sales LE vs demand plan and work on sales forecast inputs for demand plan adjustments.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive and successful Supply Chain experience, preferably in demand planning

  • Must have a track record of strong, consistent performance

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Canadian Foodservice industry a definite asset.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel. Familiarity with SAP APO, BW, Cognos, MS Access, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Team player, with excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across all functions and levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.

  • Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proactive decision making abilities for supply chain decisions based on the business environment needs.
