This position is responsible for assuring implementation of company programs. Responsible for managing hourly FSQR employees. Ensure all food safety and regulatory programs are implemented properly. This includes HACCP, SSOP, and Food Safety, BRC, claims investigation and Quality programs. Assist in the development and control of quality/food safety related SOP's in regard to facility processes and ensure enforcement of same for all plant employees and visitors. Data collection and trending will be a key component of this position, along with analyzing data to further improve the plant's food safety management system. This position will be working closely with the sanitation contractor (PSSI) to ensure compliance with the SSOP programs and ensuring pre-operational inspection metrics are consistently met. This position has accountability for a medium to high complexity facility.

Manage internal/external product and manufacturing specifications, data collection, reporting, internal and external communication, interpretation/enforcement of regulations and SOP's, corrective actions as necessary for process deviations or customer complaints, accuracy and timeliness of hourly stakeholders performance (FSQR Techs) in accordance with Cargill policies with a focus on accountability and engagement.

Selection, training, performance management, labor cost management (hours), staffing levels (coverage).

Handle pre-operational sanitation procedures and practices, including managing corrective actions as necessary.

Manager “Good Hygiene Principles”, air, sanitation, personal hygiene, pest control, chemical/packaging maintenance, transportation, labeling, environmental temperatures and rework.

Supervise compliance of work area to regulatory standards. Maintain thorough knowledge of guidelines and procedures, record keeping, write/monitor plan-specific programs, and maintain relationship with USDA inspectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Biological Sciences or related field preferred.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent will be considered with appropriate experience. 3-5 years' experience in food industry. 2 years' experience in a management role with direct reports.
- Weekend work required in this position. Standard work week is 6-7 days.
- Working knowledge of quality and/or food safety processes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel.
- Ability to analyze and report data.
