If you want to be part of the growth of a solid food distributor supplying a wide range of international products all across the US, this is the right job for you! Our client is growing food company and as part of their expansion plans they are now looking to hire a Buyer. This person will be working from their corporate office located in Portland Oregon.
Main responsibilities will include:
Replenishment of all purchased materials, taking preventive actions in order to keep an appropriate stock level. Work alongside with warehouse, technical and sales teams to maintain inventory levels appropriate to business activity and avoiding wastage. Actively participate in the shipping planning process Maintain accurate vendor/price files and communicate any changes to the team involved.
- Keep updated sales forecast based on information provided by customers (promotions and specials sales) o better predict product replenishment.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports (Inventory available, overstock or short dated products and purchase history) Assist Finance in the inventory control process.
