Cargill Salt is seeking a Facility Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) Manager. This role is responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of all FSQR systems in a location including: developing and implementing FSQR policies, continuous improvement of FSQR processes and systems, shaping the location's food safety culture and leading talent management practices. Key member of the location leadership team.
30% Assumes ultimate accountability for compliance to all Food Safety and Quality regulations, policies, standards and practices across a facility. Implements predefined FSQR policies, regulations, customer and supplier standards across a manufacturing facility.
20% Accountable for the selection, training development, performance management, staff organization and engagement of direct reports and oversees the same activities for indirect reports.
20% Acts as an interface between the customer and the facility to review product performance, conduct quality and food safety audits, and respond to customer complaints. Directs the completion of audits across location to identify and proactively address risk areas.
15% Analyzes, reviews and interprets FSQR policies, regulations, customer and supplier standards for location and drive continuous improvement in the areas of processes, plant design and customer focus for facility.
10% Interfaces with sales and marketing within the BU. Represents FSQR as part of the location management team for location, is an active member of the location management team and collaborates with FSQR peers across the Salt business.
5% Provide FSQR support to 3rd party packaging facility in areas of auditing and technical support.

- 4-year science degree (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
- 3 or more years' experience in food safety, quality, regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated success in leading others - leads by holding self and others accountable; motivates for high performance; creates an environment conducive to team work.
- Strong listening skills; written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated continuous improvement skills
- Food Safety/HACCP training and experience developing a HACCP plan
- Strong customer focus and partnership skills
- Ability to travel 15%
- Project Management or continuous improvement experience
- Regulatory compliance experience
- GFSI auditing scheme experience
- Customer Incident experience
