Position Purpose

The Trade Execution Coordinator I position is responsible for providing customer service to our international customers as well as providing Ocean, Air, Rail and Truck Freight Forwarding and Import Coordination Services to Corn Milling (CM/CMNA) (HN, DCI, Sugar, Sweeteners, Corn Oil, Acidulants), Cargill Texturizing Solutions (CTS), Cargill Industrial Specialties (CIS), Malt, Cargill Meat Central America (CMCA) and Dressings, Sauces, & Oil (DS&O) Business Units and manage and resolve complex problems and/or situations involved in international logistics and customs activities.

Considered a proficiently skilled administrative worker in the trade and logistics (T&L) space with general knowledge used under limited oversight in conducting moderately complex tasks using company defined procedures across multiple domestic or international sites. This includes data management, reporting & analysis, shipment execution, client interaction, business partnership, and people, resource, budget & project management.

Principal Accountabilities

35% Freight Forwarding -Execute multimodal standardized, U.S. export shipments to global customers using a broad range of contacts, apply basic concepts/principles to execute the following: preparing export documentation following clear procedures as established by management and with guidance where required, arranging cargo insurance, working with select provider for clearing shipments in compliance with origin export regulations, preparation and presentation of documents to banks, shippers, consignees, and/or agents at destination, remitting or advancing freight or other monies or credit in connection with shipments and coordinating the movement of the shipments from origin to overseas destinations. The same operations are also performed for foreign to foreign shipments where product is sourced globally and sent to overseas locations in compliance with the overseas country regulations.

35% Customer Service - Responsible for maximizing the satisfaction of our customers throughout the enterprise. The Trade Execution Coordinator I is accountable for ensuring international customer orders and delivery expectations are met from point of sale through contract/order fulfillment. They are expected to understand and anticipate requirements of a diverse global customer base following procedures as established by management. This position executes customer orders in two different Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (AS400, SAP). Must be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with Cargill's Leadership Model and high performance.

10% Product Coordinator - Responsible for coordinating product availability according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and direction from management with the various plants, warehouses, trans loaders and terminals throughout CMNA,CTS, CMCA, CIS, and DS&O supply chain. This coordination is critical to the execution of Cargill shipments to its overseas customers.

5% Import Coordination - Execute multimodal import shipments in concordance with U.S. Customs and OGA's (other governmental agencies) such as FDA Regulations. These shipments will be executed using a broad range of contacts, apply concepts/principles to do the following: preparing and coordinating import documentation following clear procedures as established by management, booking freight, arranging cargo insurance, working with select provider for clearing shipments in compliance with import regulations, filing the ISF with customs, preparation and presentation of documents to U.S. customs and OGA's, remitting or advancing freight or other monies or credit in connection with shipments and coordinating the movement of the shipments from overseas origins to U.S. destinations by following Standard Operating Procedures and obtaining guidance from management.

15% Problem Solving - Resolve payables and/or receivables issues related to shipments in collaboration with the product lines or business unit, carriers and suppliers. Resolve day to day issues related to shipments with guidance when required and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree with minimum 1 year of International Trade Execution experience.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Incoterms and International Trade knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
