The Quality Assurance Technician conducts daily in-process quality control checking as well as the physical and chemical analysis of incoming/outgoing materials and finished goods samples and verifications of QMS system. This role has either an emphasis on analytical or microbiological aspects. The incumbent will facilitate the Document Control Program and assist with Standard Operating Procedures relevent to the efficiant facility operations. The incumbent organizes, updates, analysis and reports the results in both written and verbal form to the QA Manager and other QA team members.
Carry out in-process and finished goods sampling in / out the premises for analysis. Inform and liaise with production on the quality status during the process control analysis. Prepare of chemical or samples standards, solutions for analysis. Assist in samples preparation of daily sensory evaluation. Calibrate and maintain laboratory analytical instruments when required. Maintain good housekeeping and to ensure good safety in the working area. Assist in preparing COA/COC for product delivered to customers. Update product status in the warehouse with the appropriate stickers. Maintain and keep track on the physical and chemical inventories in the laboratory. Carry out inspection on packaging and secondary raw materials. Assist in other QA activities (microbiology and beans) when necessary.
Bachelor Degree in Chemistry (analytical preferred), Microbiology or Food Science
2+ years of experience in advanced analytical techniques
Solid knowledge of analytical laboratory equipment and procedures (HPLC, gas chromatography, IR analysis, solvent extraction techniques & other standard chemical analysis)
Experience in Project Management
Knowledgable in MS Office Suite
English - Intermediate
