Position Purpose & Summary

This Treasury Solution Manager
is responsible for the Solution Design, Build, Test and Service Introduction of the application end-to-end within the Treasury area of the Functions Portfolio. As a strong business delivery partner the Solution Manager understands business challenges and opportunities and works to lead the scoping, design (functional analysis and functional/technical architecture) and build of value added solutions to meet the set business requirements and outcomes on time, on schedule and on budget.

The Solution Management position encompasses the following functional and global product or technology areas:

  • Global Treasury Application Portfolio including critical applications: Wallstreet Suite, IRIS, FXTE, FXTracker, SWIFT

  • Connectivity with ERP and Finance applications: SAP, JDE, and Summit

  • Functional areas including Trading Front Office, Trading Operations, Cash Management, and Accounting

  • Bank Connectivity

The position requires a strong leader who can partner effectively across Global IT and with third-party partners; a strong expertise in portfolio business processes and demonstrated delivery oversight as part of large global transformations.

Alignment with Regional Portfolio Application, PMO and Deployment teams, plus Enterprise Process management teams will be critical in achieving the delivery strategy and will require strong change management and influencing skills.


Principal Accountabilities

60% Solution Management - Design/Build thru Deploy

  • Owns resource forecast & estimating for prioritized backlog of activities

  • Sets expectations & curator of design/dev standards adopted for area

  • Knowledge of Agile Delivery Capabilities - Drives to a collection of approved user stories & edge cases

  • Key supporting cast for product visioning & connecting ideas together for design & build feasibility, value and speed. 'the how'

  • Responsible for design/build deliverable commitments and buy-in across component areas

  • Ensure design/build adheres to risk and performance/infrastructure scalability - ensure design completeness across app & network/infra

  • Responsible lead for testing teams; approach and execution/results sign-off; Responsible lead to SCRUM master(s)

  • Understands market competition/trends & consults with business to develop new product ideas/concepts

  • Ensures team commitment (skills/expertise) to Immersive Learning Center & Rapid Prototyping teams on key development and backlog targeted

  • Ensures team commitment (skills/expertise) to collaborate & partner lab teams on key development and backlog targeted

  • Supports complex problem solving with operations for live products - inclusive of RCA analysis and action plans, and a champion for long-term health of design 'the how'

  • Contributes to architecture review boards for portfolio area. Looks to EA for community of practice consulting and guidance on detailed designs and decisions in alignment with overall architecture decisions

  • Manages pipeline for rapid prototyping and ILC or external labs

  • Stays current on latest design trends and discussions - key speaker(s) in internal and external outreach discussions/events

  • Stays connected with Enterprise Architecture to refine and confirm base package or custom application target strategies/decisions

  • Looks to EA for community of practice consulting and guidance on detailed designs and decisions in alignment with overall architecture decisions

  • Ensure overall solution(s) architectures are maintained and thoroughly understood by the team

  • Responsible lead during major go lives for design/build

  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing (and succession planning) of critical knowledge areas.

  • Lead culture of discipline and compliance and ensure adherence to global standard process & controls

  • Collaborate with the Regional Deployment teams to optimize and/or modernize applications

  • Maintain awareness of application risks and opportunities for expansion and improvement. Seeks out and recommends improvements which enhance capability, performance, and minimize costs.

  • Provide recommendations for advancing applications across the globe ensuring high user acceptance. and adoption, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business and function strategies.

20% People and Budget Management

  • Administer/oversees general workforce administration policies and programs in the areas of communications, staffing, training, evaluations, disciplinary actions and safety. Ensure delivery of quality work product by team.

  • Develop planning for future workforce needs in direct control and participates in the selection of employees.

  • Responsible for developing strong leaders and in a global, diverse workforce by seeking multiple approaches to source/attract diverse talent. Incorporates diversity in succession planning and job fulfillment.

  • Communicate key decisions, Cargill information and other enabling information to team

  • Accountable for medium-term outlook workforce planning and for performance management, talent development, succession planning, coaching, and engagement for team.

  • Lead and implements systems and processes to maintain a highly engaged workforce. Holds direct reports accountable for actively addressing engagement issues and identifies/leverages best practices in engagement.

  • Responsible for financial management across team and business planning (forecasting, reporting P&L, etc.).

20% Partner Relationships, Delivery Roadmap and Scorecarding

  • Facilitates and manages near and longer term delivery roadmap with Portfolio Architect consult

  • Facilitates key program/project reviews of delivery pipeline across global & regional portfolios with BRMs, Regions and/or other delivery area leads to collaborate on learnings, cross dependencies & continuous improvement in delivery overall.

  • Delivers dashboard/metrics on delivery roadmap achieved, portfolio customer satisfaction, adoption/recovery, value realization

  • Ensure appropriate metrics (Risk, Issues, Project Status, Resource Utilization, etc.) are maintained, analyzed and acted on in order to ensure effectiveness.

  • Maintain partnering/relationship with internal and 3rd party providers to deliver project quality and operational excellence and innovation.

Qualifications

Required

  • BA/BS in Business (Accounting and/or Finance), IT, or Computer Science or equivalent

  • 10 years of IT and business / industry work experience, with at least 5 years of experience in leading a distributed team.

  • 3 years experience working in Finance or Treasury applications support, design & build

  • 5 years of people management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead Change Management efforts

  • Ability to Deliver Results (Quality & Benefits)

  • Demonstrated experience managing cost/quality/schedule controls

  • Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to lead global teams

  • Experience interacting effectively, confidentially and appropriately with various levels management and customers

  • Business fluency in English and local languages as defined

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred

  • Master's Degree (MBA).

  • 5 years experience in supporting Global Corporate Treasury Processes and Solutions

  • Demonstrated large delivery transformations

  • Experience with delivery methods in partner constructs
