Position Purpose & Summary

Cargill is seeking an exceptional Cybersecurity Intelligence team lead
for our growing security organization. This is a key position to strengthen the Cybersecurity capability which has been identified as a critical area for growth and specialization within Global IT's scope.

This position requires a passionate cybersecurity leader
with demonstrated experience and success working with a decentralized team of Cyber intelligence analysts and engineers. You and your team will drive the gathering, analysis and distribution of actionable cyber intelligence briefings to a variety of stakeholders. You will collaborate with our incident responders during threat hunting campaigns and in the scoping of critical incidents. You will own the relation with critical vendors providing intelligence feeds to Cargill

As part of this role, you will also own and drive the cybersecurity analytics and intelligence platform roadmap to drive greater insight and actions across our security organization. Join us on this journey!

Principal Accountabilities

35% Strategic

  • Develop and execute Cargill's Cyber intelligence strategy to support the proactive identification and eradication of internal and external threats

  • Own the technology roadmap to enable the team's operations and manage cyber threat vendor relationships

40% Execution

  • Leads significant threat intelligence analysis/briefings

  • Provides situational awareness to other cybersecurity teams in Cargill

  • Develops expertise on threat actors, attack trends, and attack tactics, techniques, and procedures TTPs

  • Own and execute Cargill's regular Threat Assessment process

  • Works to maintain existing, and develop new, cyber intelligence contacts in the cyber intelligence community

25% People management

  • Accountable for performance management, talent development, succession planning, and engagement

  • Manages and provides coaching to direct reports, including coaching Cargill core values

  • Participates in selection of direct reports and plans for future workforce needs

  • Motivate for High Performance and Excellence: Motivate, inspire, and engage others to excel and work towards the vision

  • Provides challenging and stretching tasks and assignments

  • Constructs compelling development plans and executes them



  • Bachelor's degree in business or information systems or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

  • 10 years of professional IT experience

  • Previous leadership (including managerial experience) in Cyber Intelligence and/or Incident Response roles

  • Experience with Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)

  • Experience in the development (or use) of threat intelligence platforms and feeds

  • Possess current security certifications (CISSP, SANS, etc.)

  • Experience working in collaboration with Forensics and Incident response teams;

  • Experience in managing third party vendors in a global, managed services environment

  • Exceptional teaming skills encompassing cross-functional teams, peer relationships, informing, and understanding and appreciating differences

  • Ability to accomplish results through others (lower level managers, professional employees, managed service employees).

  • Possess excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills necessary for team coordination, helping partners, and service discussions with IT leadership.

  • Business fluency in English

  • Ability to travel globally up to 20%


  • Master's degree

  • 5 years of professional experience with antivirus/malware, threat intelligence, security analytics, or intrusion detection

  • Experience working within Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs)

  • Experience in metrics development, reporting and analysis

  • Experience in a large SAP/ERP environment

  • Work experience in multiple countries

  • Non-English language skills
