Cargill Premix & Nutrition develops, manufactures and sells customized animal nutrition products and services for customers primarily focused on beef, dairy, ruminants, poultry and swine. With 56 production centers in 31 countries, it also provides technical services, technology licensing, software and management services to customers. Some of its branded products include Provimi®, Akey®, Vigortone®, Citura®, Neolait®, Nutral® and Nutron®.
As a Beef Sales Consultant you will be responsible for product sales with current clients and prospective customers, helping them understand how Cargill Premix and Nutrition can provide solutions for them and improve their profitability. This position will have the responsibility for sales growth and requires prior sales and business expertise. This position focuses on Cargill premix and nutrition sales. This position will cover Texas.
45%- Sell appropriate nutritional products and programs to Cargill Premix & Nutrition customers, through cost-effective use of company resources.
25%- Actively prospect for new customers to grow market share and brand recognition by building relationships, probing for unmet needs, and determining how the resources of Cargill can be utilized to deliver value
10%- Develop and implement effective business strategies to grow our business on a profitable basis with current key accounts, and develop new business.
5%- Define customer success measures and score cards to value effectiveness.
5%- Continually strive to improve skills necessary to do the job, including but not limited to, improving technical knowledge, selling skills, communications capabilities (written and verbal) and computer skills.
10%- Communicate with management and other personnel as necessary, in order to effectively and efficiently sell nutritional products and programs to existing customers and prospective new customer accounts.

Ability to travel up to 40%
Minimum 3 years sales/business experience.
Proven leader, self-starter, and strong analytical and conceptual skills.
Strong communication skills both with internal and external clients.
Good understanding of livestock and or agriculture
Experience in nutrition industry sales, or related field, with an in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing technique.
Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness or related field.
Experience in and Understanding of the Cattle Industry
