Position Purpose

The FSQR Technologist I is an integral part of the plant quality and food safety systems. This position provides front line FSQR support to operations, purchasing, customer service, and sales. The Technologist assists the FSQR team in the execution of the sites HACCP programs, corporate food safety policies, and quality and regulatory compliance standards for the chocolate and compound product lines.

Principal Accountabilities

40% Perform laboratory testing and use results to inform material dispositions and calculate changes needed to the manufacturing process in support of production, purchasing, product development, and customers

20% Execute CCCNA's finished product positive release process providing final approval for finished goods and assurance of compliance to customer specifications

20% Provide food safety and quality support and guidance to production, purchasing, sales, and customer service

10% Analytical testing & Instrumentation tasks and support/cover for other FSQR Technologists as needed

10% Maintain food safety, quality, and production records for legal and historical purposes and other assignments as required

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related topic
  • Familiarity with GMP's and Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to walk distances around the production plant and occasionally up and down stairs
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work overtime if needed
  • Must be able to work off hours if needed
  • Current valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel up to 10%


  • Familiarity with SAP and HACCP
  • Bilingual/proficiency in Spanish
  • Previous food safety, quality or production experience in food manufacturing
  • Previous experience in chocolate manufacturing
