Position Purpose:

As a member of the Cargill Texturizing Solutions team, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction by coordinating customer needs and expectations from the time a sales contract is signed through the delivery process. This position serves as a vital link between the customer, sales, and production teams. This position is responsible for proactive follow-up with customers, and collaboration with Customer Service team members in the resolution of order processing, pricing or contract issues. This position also requires constant awareness of customer needs, inventory, and order status. The person in this role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. An ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skill, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people

Principal Accountabilities:

45% - Order management - take order, order entry, order status, order change, order confirmation, forecasting, and product allocation within 24 hours or less after notification

15% - Pricing - entry of contract in ERP system and follow up of pricing issue

10% - Communication - telephone inquiries, email, product calls/meetings, customer meetings/visits, sales

10% - Coordinate and track shipment needs with Logistics and Warehouse/Inventory Coordinator daily

5% - Investigate and initiate Return Material Authorization, credit, and debit request within 24 hours after notification

5% - Research and resolve complaints within 24 hours or less to ensure customer retention and satisfaction

5% - Enter and update CRT's (Customer Relationship Tracking) within 24 hours after notification

5% - Generate business and/or sales analysis reports as required and assigned projects by the Customer Service Manager. Maintain customer order records

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years Customer Service or Customer Account Management Experience and/or Sales
  • Demonstrated ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
  • Proven ability to be able to work independently, and as a part of the team and have good judgement
  • Proven Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Detail oriented and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work outside the hours of 8-5, depending on time needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a relationship driven account management/customer service role
  • Understanding of Basic Supply Chain Operations
  • Associates Degree or Higher preferred
  • Experience with an ERP system, like Adage, SAP
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
