The Management Reporting Analyst role will be part of the newly formed FIBI NA Accounting and Finance team which provides accounting and finance expertise for our businesses within the FIBI enterprise. This Professional level Accounting and Finance (A&F) role is a challenging opportunity to learn the complexities of the diverse businesses within FIBI NA utilizing strong accounting and communication skills. This person serves a critical role to the business- partnering across A&F and FP&A to create and deliver timely and accurate management reporting that is critical to the decision making within FIBI North America.
Accounting Processes and Procedures-35%:
With some review and oversight, executes tasks necessary to support the close process and report business results.
Monitors and follows up on A/R and A/P metrics. Identifies areas of concern and takes appropriate action.
Provides input to the development of accounting policies and procedures.
Monitors controls, ensuring that our accounting/operational processes are in compliance with GAAP, Cargill's policies and procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations. May participate in control reviews.
Identifies areas of standardization and improvement.
Analysis and Reporting-25%:
Create and deliver timely and accurate management reports and packages. Assists in developing assumptions and key financial measures to support. This includes period end close support and reporting, support of the forecasting process (Integrated Business Planning), budgeting, customer profitability and other adhoc management reporting.
Perform financial reconciliation and analysis. This includes reconciliation and analysis on both the balance sheet and income statement, variance analysis (actuals vs. forecasts vs. budget), forecasts, SGA review and reconciliation and analysis of customer and product profitability information (COPA) to the General Ledger (FI).
Collaborates with peers across FIBI to ensure accuracy and consistency of management reporting processes.
Partners with other key financial and business resources to provide the financial information necessary to support decision making.
Other misc projects as needed-20%:
This will include partnering across the FIBI enterprise to support the identification and implementation of process simplification, standardization and improvement for management reporting.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• 2 years of accounting experience
• Ability to communicate effectively- both written and orally.
• Technical aptitude-ability to utilize technology (e.g. excel, power BI, ERP systems) to drive efficiency
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to internal controls.
• Curiosity- desire to learn more than taught
