Duties: Serve as a professional (individual contributor) on integrated logistics support for post-fixture vessel operations. Serve as subject-matter resource to the Cargill internal customers in North America who fix voyages with third party owners. Provide specialized support to commercial teams during the pre-fixing and post-fixture process including day-to-day vessel operations, laytime calculations, and invoicing. Calculate bunker and stowplans to maximize intake or alternatively reduce intake in favor of bunkers. Support freight invoicing, laytimes, hire statements, stowplan and bunker plan audit. Maintain account plans. Communicate proactively with customers. Perform profit and loss analysis of voyages. Participate in continuous training of the local operations MOC team. Provide support to the team on operational matters. Participate in customer service reviews. Assist in negotiating claims with charterers and vessel owners. Review charter party clauses for commercial teams, identifying risks for Cargill. Handle safe and efficient vessel scheduling that meets customers' needs in terms of their supply chain, planning port calls and dealing with port agents during these calls. Close files with ship owners and/or charterers.
• Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or closely related field of study.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation involving vessel operations and logistics, working with pre-fixture and/or post-fixture issues, including P&L of voyages, analyzing cargo intake, bunkers, and stowage plans, negotiating claims/contracts with owners and charterers.
• All experience may be gained concurrently.
