National Retail and Food Service Sales Manager

Our client, a food manufacturing company located in Chicago, is looking for an account manager to work closely with grocery, food service and food distributors to maintain and grow their retail and food service business. This is a growing company offering easy-to-sell products, base salary, high bonus potential, full benefits and 401k.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing contact and building relationships with new clients.
  • Selling and placing orders for product into existing accounts.
  • Advertising promotional programs to current and new clients.
  • Ensuring that clients maintain point-of-sale standards, inventory levels and merchandising standards.
  • Delivery and maintenance of point-of-sale materials to clients.
  • Travelling on a regular basis to ensure all clients are met on an annual basis.
  • Meeting a minimum of key performance indicators and/or sales goals.

Experience required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of business-to-business sales experience.
  • Food/beverage industry experience, ideally experienced in selling to major retailers and/or food service.
  • Proven track record of new business development.
  • Experience with preparing and performing sales presentations.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
