We are currently seeking a Regional Supply Chain Senior Financial Analyst located in Coppell, TX .

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Fiduciary responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the Regional Logistics Financial Statements, including Variable Distribution, Fixed Distribution and Bad Goods Expense.

  • Lead role in the month-end close process, including financial statement review for accuracy and completeness, journal entry preparation and financial reporting package preparation. 

  •  Provide comprehensive financial support in all areas of Logistics.

  • Analyze material forecast and plan P&L variances, then partner with operational leaders to define drivers and initiate action plans for improvement.

  • Monitor warehouses' labor and operational spend with effective measuring tools and schedules.

  • Develop monthly financial forecasts and weekly projections for distribution costs (transportation, geography mix impacts, pallets, warehousing expenses, etc) in conjunction with the operational team inputs.

  • Provide transformational financial analysis to co-pilot the business through new projects and achieve operational excellence.

  • Overall management of Logistics Accounts Payable activities, including accurate and timely payment of all freight invoices, third-party warehouses, etc. by the Finance Administrative team.

  • Monitor the review of carrier invoice aging reports and reconciliations to ensure liabilities are current and fully accounted for.

  • Seek opportunities for process improvements within and outside of Finance.

  • Partner with the Regional Finance Manager to maintain internal controls and develop any necessary new requirements to meet organizational compliance standards.

  • Oversee 3rd party invoice process through creation of Purchase Orders, process and match applicable invoices, while managing Accounts Payable KPIs (GRIR, block invoices, open POs, one time vendors and PO after invoice, aging reconciliation).

  • Assist in managing regional slow-moving inventory by identifying aging inventory risks, monitoring “hold” inventory status, and ensuring inventory write-offs are properly accounted for, and forecasting bad goods.

  • Leadership and oversight of the financial administrative team on the performance of their job functions, development, and coaching as well as complete formal mid-year and annual performance reviews and objectives setting.

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field

  • 7 or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment with relevant, progressive work experience in Accounting or Finance, 3 or more years in supervisory or management role preferred

  • Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles

  • Prior experience in the consumer goods industry desired, food or beverage preferred

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build cross-functional relationships

  • Demonstrated success in problem solving, forecasting, and cost management

  • Innovative and results-focused with excellent follow-through discipline

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Drives best practices and standard assumptions across region

  • Effectively handles pressures and demands of multiple customers and competing priorities

  • Consistently challenges current status and strives for continuous improvement

  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Word and PowerPoint and experienced analysis capabilities utilizing Excel and Access (Advanced Excel preferred)

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) (Essbase) (Globe/BW)
