We are currently seeking a Vice President, Strategy & Business Development who will report to the Executive Vice President Brands and CMO and be based in Stamford, CT.  The Vice President, Strategy & Business Development is responsible for ensuring the relevance and strength of our product portfolio pipeline and evolving the way we engage with our consumers. This Vice President is responsible for bringing to life our growth strategy through our Market Business Strategy and our 10 year Global Business Strategy. This role will focus on analytics, insights, strategy and business development, and aligning our strategies to our operational plans. The ideal candidate must have experience in tier 1 management/consulting firm and strong brand marketing experience.

Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

STRATEGIC ACCOUNTABILITES

MBS/GBS  - Accountable for long-term business development strategies  (3 year MBS, 10 year GBS) and responsible for implementing key strategic business development initiatives for the future growth of our portfolio of brands, including portfolio strategy, pricing architecture, P&L and end to end project optimization across all NWNA business units and functions.

Strategy and Business development: Lead, manage and grow the business profitably. Drive and create competitive gaps through deeper consumer understanding, demand space analysis, and portfolio and pricing strategy. Identify growth opportunities by evolving our business model, expanding distribution in new channels, exploiting strategic partnership and improving every step of the consumer experience and the related value chain

Analytics: To lead, inspire, develop, challenge, establish and coordinate the analytics function. Supporting the Marketing and Business Managers to accelerate profitable growth by leveraging data analytics and predictive intelligence. Develop NWNA consumer/customer segmentation and define NWNA engagement strategy, leveraging social listening data and first party data. Optimize our media spend by establishing real time analytics to measure the performance of our media spend across all brands and functions.

Insights: Ensure consumer-centric focus informs all strategies through targeted research and Consumer Insight analysis

Media: To lead, inspire, develop, challenge and coordinate market media communications. Supporting Marketing and Business Managers to accelerate strong brand growth by applying the Winning actions from Creating Engaging Brand Experiences and Plan and Execute Flawlessly within the BBNW framework.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Metrics:

• Business metrics: Market share, NNS, RIG, OG, OP1

• Efficiency and effectiveness in PFME spend (Media ROI/Conversion rate)

• Monitor success of strategic efforts through defines KPIs and achievement of operational plans

Leadership:  Build a high performance team, with a focus on coaching and development, through the Nestle Leadership Framework and functional competencies.


Key qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:

• Bachelors Degree Required, MBA strongly preferred

• More than 20 years in business: 5-10 years experience in generating demand in best in class CPG company. Over this period has successfully delivered on KPIs especially top-line and bottom line business results.

• MUST HAVE 5-10 years experience in tier I management consulting firm with international exposure in multiple geographies.

• Leading and managing cross-functional teams at local market level

• Active player within matrix organization and business/project multi-disciplinary teams at international level.

• Successfully developed people (former staff have progressed)

• Has worked in another market in addition to their home base

• Expert at Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
