Gerber Life Insurance is the world's leading juvenile life insurer; an operating unit of Nestle. Gerber Life has initiated a multi-year business and legacy technology transformation program to minimize manual and batch-centric system processing by enabling enterprise-wide high-availability and real-time life insurance transaction processing. A new modernized life insurance policy management platform will be developed with internal and external resources and will include new business, claims, policy servicing & billing and collections capabilities. A core team of infrastructure engineers are needed to install a new physical infrastructure architecture that can support Gerber Life's new business strategy. Infrastructure for all existing systems will continue to be supported by this team as well.

The Senior Marketing Manager role will be an essential contributor to the mailbox marketing team. The role will encompass direct mail planning across all products (Grow-Up, Term and Whole life and Senior life insurance). The Sr. Marketing Manager will also leverage cross-channel opportunities to drive integrated highly effective optimized direct mail campaigns leading to more profitable policies acquired across all products.
The ideal candidate will be a highly knowledgeable direct mail expert that can think tactically as well as strategically. A successful Senior Marketing Manager must have great enthusiasm for all things marketing and great knowledge of relevant techniques and principles. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator and will have demonstrated success in meeting goals set by management and will be tasked to implement the organization's direct mail campaigns in order to meet/exceed operating plan commitments.
Implement a robust end-to-end process for all direct mail activities for Gerber Life from data selection, print production vendor management, optimization.
Leverage data services and print production methods to service DM that is increasingly triggered by online and call center generated events. Establish process excellence that includes best practices and latest and greatest methods for integrated Direct Mail.
Design and implement a rigorous testing strategy to enable ongoing monitoring and improvement of all aspects of DM campaigning including creative, data selection and in-home deliverability.
Work closely with marketing database team to execute all Gerber Life Direct Mail from an externally hosted Marketing Database. Create campaign briefs and specs for UNICA programmers and validate accurate translation of business request into campaign programming.
Collaborate with Product Managers on strategy, acting as channel expert guiding Direct Mail and omni-channel campaigns (Direct Mail digital).
Design (write specifications for) reporting to evaluate efficacy of campaign productivity and process. Includes reporting to monitor ongoing testing at all appropriate steps in the production process. Reporting may reside internally or with print venders or data services providers.
Partner with modeler to ensure modeled selection and creative strategy are correctly matched. Collaborate on procurement of data services, from DM-specific service providers, such as print production vendors
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Master's degree preferred
7 years direct to consumer marketing experience
Significant experience managing product marketing across channels (online and offline) with a record of driving results with marketing innovation/growth
Proven ability to lead marketing strategy while balancing with program execution
Exceptional quantitative skills
Ability to synthesize complex results into easy to digest/communicate sound bites
