Nestle Nutrition in Eau Claire, WI has two factories which manufacture infant formula and health care nutrition products. The opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join our team!

The Project Engineer will be accountable for managing the planning and execution of the Blow molding/Aseptic filling part of Project Trio. This engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, installation and commissioning of the following:

• Blow molding machine
• Aseptic Filling Machine
• Auxiliary equipment (CIP, Sterile Water Unit, Chemical Dosing unit, etc.) for the filler.
• Cap and Preform feeder
• Safety and environmental aspect of the systems above.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Manage the project scope, schedule and budget the assigned area of responsibility (Bottle Blow molding and Aseptic Filling).
• Early management of the operational, environmental safety and technical aspects of the installation, ensuring alignment with the customer and key stakeholders and to enable the smooth product commissioning and handover to production.
• Lead multi-functional activities (obtaining agreement from other related areas), for the design, FAT, Safety Reviews, IQ/OQ, SAT, product commissioning, cleaning validations and FDA/Nestec Validations, in the assigned area of responsibility.
• Ensures compliance of installation with Internal (Nestle), and external regulatory requirements in the assigned area of responsibilities
• Prepare monthly reports with emphasis on the status of Scope completion, Cost Expenditure and Timing in the assigned area of responsibility
• Responsible for managing Contractors and ensuring compliance with safety and the achievement of project deliverables
• Assist in developing training plans and supports the implementation of training program.
• Develop and review documents including Preventive Maintenance plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Batch Records, Material specs, and other forms. Develop and review validation and change control documents such as master plans, protocols, summary reports and change requests.
• Responsible for the capitalization of assets in SAP in the assigned area of responsibility
• Provide immediate feedback to design using the Project Defect Analysis process
• Responsible for closing his project scope ensuring completeness of: project documentation, as-built drawings, Material/Equipment list, IQ/OQ and SAT results, Spare Parts documentation, PM plans, outstanding punch list items, and updated PDA results.

A Bachelor's Degree in Food, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required. Project Management Professional certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in Food Manufacturing Industry, Mechanical or Electrical engineering is required with at least 2 years of experience as an Aseptic Filling Engineer. 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer in a Food Manufacturing industry is preferred. 2 years of Project Management experience and proven experience in process control solutions is preferred.

The skills needed to be successful in this role are as follows:

• Highly developed ability to maintain a safe working environment through proper housekeeping (5S) with safety practices.
• Good organizational/administrative skills.
• Competent design knowledge.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
• SAP knowledge desirable.
• Process qualification, validation in the pharmaceutical or food industry IQ, OQ, PQ.
• FDA & GMP/GAMP regulation.
