General Manager

We are currently seeking a General Manager (GM)
to join ReadyRefresh by Nestlé in Illinois. This role is an integral part of the ReadyRefresh field leadership team, responsible for ensuring exceptional service to our customers across a multi-location geographic span. The position will focus efforts in several key areas. First and foremost, this role will manage the following:

Direct Reports

4 or 5 Customer Operations Managers

Zone Business Manager

Indirect Reports

Zone Sales Development Manager (ZSDM)

HR Manager

Field Trainer

This team of direct reports is responsible to oversee service/logistics, finance, and training/safety, respectively. The GM position will report directly to the Division Vice President.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Drive customer satisfaction to ensure execution for customer service, order delivery, and warehousing activities

- Manage P&L and allocate budget/financial resources and cost controls throughout the zone as appropriate

- Uphold safety and training as key initiatives via regulation of safety policy compliance, behaviors, and ongoing execution of improvement opportunities

- Foster sense of accountability and teamwork among all Zone branches and leadership resources, including direct reports and their teams

- Manage both the professional and personal development of direct reports through frequent coaching and development of performance objectives and personal growth and development goals

- Ensure performance development, effective staffing, succession planning and employee retention

- Liaise with GM peers and superiors to share best practices and leverage knowledge to help define future strategies and processes for all ReadyRefresh functions

- Achieve zone business objectives - maximizing growth while achieving profit targets

- Achieve national and local cross-functional business initiatives & objectives

Accelerate broad KPI performance to best in class levels

Key Success Measures:

Key success measures associated with this position include, but are not limited to:

- Safety of employees in service delivery and warehouse functions, as defined by ReadyRefresh guidelines and standards

- Personal and professional development of direct reports, demonstrated through leadership development of NCE principles as well a robust plan for OTR throughout the zone

- Ability to create passion and commitment among direct and indirect reports to achieve performance metrics

- Adherence to high standards for professionalism and results

- Regular collaboration with GM peers to share best practices


Key Qualifications:

Key qualifications include, but are not limited to:

- 10 years in Customer Service, Operations, or Logistics leadership experience in multi-level assignments

- Proven understanding of industry/competitive knowledge preferred to better focus on the customer experience (ie - DSD, beverage and distribution organizations)

- Prior experience leading multi-location geographies and managing/motivating multiple individuals concurrently

- Understanding of supply chain functions, including operations, routing, distribution, warehousing, and logistics

- Demonstrated experience coaching, managing and developing leaders of service, operations, and/or logistics required

- Demonstrated success in diverse customer service and operations roles

- Extensive experience managing operational delivery processes

- Demonstrated familiarity with and commitment to safety as a key company initiative and priority

- Experience managing and anticipating change and challenges

- Proven decision maker with an orientation towards action, employee development and achievement

- Outstanding organization and follow-up skills

- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills with transparency in dealing with others

- Strong analytical skills and strategic thought leadership with a big-picture view while executing locally

- Capable of multi-tasking and demonstrating consistent performance under pressure

- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
