POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for leading the factory Industrial Performance team to drive improvement projects through application of Nestle Continuous Excellence and Focused Improvement methodologies, in coordination with the national Continuous Improvement agenda.
• Coordinate factory productivity agenda and over-deliver against total productivity target
• Lead, train and coach to drive continuous improvement efforts to eliminate all forms of waste. Waste reduction projects should be sustainable, measurable, aligned with business strategies and meet all stakeholder requirements
• Lead the Focused Improvement pillar efforts - leveraging the training, coaching, and assessing routines to drive and enable the acceleration of achieving business results
• Collaborate closely with business, factory and other internal customers to achieve project objectives
• Maintain oversight responsibility for development of Industrial Performance team members
• Coach and lead to develop problem solving and project management capability deep within the factory

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and Manage the Factory Continuous Improvement & Productivity Savings Agenda
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and monitor the activity of the Industrial Performance department to drive factory improvement projects
- Organize and assign projects to fully utilize and develop the capability of team members
- Monitor and analyze various sources of manufacturing data to identify problem areas and to assist the factory in the problem solving process to reduce losses in all areas of reliability, cost, quality, safety, delivery and morale.
- Populate productivity project pipeline, aligned to help deliver business objectives
- Provide visibility as needed to progress against key objectives and saving projects
- Provide accurate and timely project progress and results tracking
- Lead advanced problem solving teams as assigned
- Coach project leaders to build capability, deliver cost savings, and create a culture of discipline
- Act as a resource to other departments in identifying opportunities and solving problems


Lead the Focused Improvement Pillar
- Train, coach, and assess workgroups, pillars, and leadership teams on the application of Focused Improvement methodologies
- Drive the application of FI methodologies across the factory
- Coach and develop problem solving and project management capabilities

 
Support Innovation and Renovation Efforts
- Coordinate and support new product introduction, line extensions and reforms with Operations, TAG, and Finance


REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar

EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years experience in plant/manufacturing operations strongly preferred
- Project management and implementation experience
- Six Sigma or Lean background with examples of application and results (skill set at the level of a Green or Black Belt preferred)
- Implementation experience with TPM or Lean Value Stream is strongly preferred
