The primary duties of a mechanic include but are not limited to general machine repair and maintenance and all other assigned duties. Must follow and practice all policies and procedures according to the training guide lines. In addition to qualifications listed below, attendance, disciplinary status, communication skills, and general attitude will be considered for any advancement.
Step 1 - Maintenance Mechanic “A”
All Mechanic “B” step 2 requirements plus
Ability to read electrical and mechanical blue prints
Ability to troubleshoot control wiring
Understanding of PLC operation and parts
Fully Qualified-Maintenance Mechanic “A”
All Mechanic “A” Step 1 requirements plus the ability to do one or more of the following specialties.
Operate machine shop equipment and fabricate parts
Expert on Aseptic Spiral Processor
Capable of operating the Ammonia plant or Steam plant and maintaining appropriate documentation
Perform other duties as assigned.

Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Plant Incentive Program
High School Diploma preferred
1-2 year related and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic math and computer skills
Food manufacturing experience preferred.
Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Flexibility in days of work week required.
Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions
Reading & Writing:
Ability to read technical written material and to communicate via written material
Knowledge of navigation and inputting.
