Senior Engineer - Liquid Process Technology Job Description

 

Overall objective/accountability

Lead the process engineering design for the liquid process for RTD projects, including aseptic processes. Lead teams for carrying out technical evaluations of suppliers and co-manufacturers. Provide technical expertise in liquid processing and aseptic technology to the facility, the RTD business, and markets/factories. Drive and manage liquid process technology research projects for RTD applications

Main tasks/responsibilities

  • Lead the liquid process engineering design for RTD projects and drive this to successfully achieve the agreed deliverables with the required time frame and cost.

  • Participate and lead NCE activities within the RTD Technology Department and the Facility.

  • Effectively communicate project status and results through written technical documentation and oral presentations.

  • Lead / participate in factory or pilot plant trials as required.

  • Collect, analyze and store data collected from trials. Report findings and unusual results to supervising engineer.

  • Ensure that all liquid process designs comply with the Nestle aseptic design standards

  • Comply with Nestle Quality Management System and all other company policies and procedures

  • Lead or take part in a team to carry out technical due diligence evaluations of suppliers. Make recommendations to suppliers to bring their equipment and/or process design up to Nestlé's Standards. Carry out follow-up evaluations as required to ensure implementation.

  • Lead or take part in technical line validations for liquid processing within Nestle or co-manufacturing factories worldwide. Make recommendations/corrective actions for the process where required to the business (e.g. SBU) and other departments in the PTC (e.g. Quality).

  • Support the RTD business worldwide by providing technical assistance to other Departments, SBU, RTD Unit and RTD factories worldwide.

  • Participate in training exercises and also Basic and Expert Workshops as required.

  • Provide mentoring/guidance to junior engineers and interns as required.


Education and Experience

  • BS Degree in Engineering or related field required, preferred in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum 8 years related experience

  • Project Management experience

  • Good written and oral communication skills and good presentation skills

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Strong knowledge on liquid and aseptic processing and some production experience

  • Mobility to travel worldwide
